Although the Mustang S-550 steering rack works well in failsafe mode mimicking hydraulic assist, why not take advantage of the full potential of electric steering?

This module communicates with the steering rack and actively adjusts the amount of assist provided. 

  • Speed sensitive- The module measures speed from the factory crown vic hub/abs sensor. It provides more assist at low speed (effortlessly navigate a parking lot with 1 hand) and then decreases the assist as you speed up to keep the steering predictable and safe.
  • Instant on- No more waiting 5 seconds for failsafe mode, the module turns on the rack as soon as it sees the ignition signal
  • 3 drive modes- A switch is included that can toggle between comfort, normal and sport. Choose the mode that works for you and the driving you are doing. And change it on the fly as you see fit. 
  • Diagnostics- The module can detect errors with the EPAS or wheel speed sensor.

  • Controller module
  • 3 position mode switch
  • Wire harness
    • Made with GXL wire and Molex connectors
    • Pre-installed firewall grommet for 1" hole
    • Built and tested in our shop
  • Optional: steering rack power harness
    • 92" long, 6 AWG SGX crosslink wire
    • Pre terminated to plug directly into the rack
    • Mega fuse holder and fuse
    •  5/16" ring terminals on the battery end
    • Extra ring terminals included if you want to shorten the harness

What you will need:

  • A vehicle with a 2015-2023 Mustang steering rack
  • A working Crown Victoria front hub with ABS harness that routes along the upper control arm
  • Fused battery and ignition source to power the module
  • Wire loom and zip ties to route your harness
