1961 - 1978 F-100 Weld-In Crown Victoria Front Suspension Kit

Install the crown Vic front suspension on your 1961 - 1978 F-100 without all the unnecessary work of cutting up your frame rails. This kit uses stiffening/doubler brackets on the inside of the frame rail that tie into the outer wall of the frame and the top rail. It also eliminates the factory cast upper tower mount to replace it with fabricated weld-on brackets designed to effectively locate and react suspension loads. All the hardware to install are included. You will not need the factory mounting bolts.

 Install this kit by first cutting all old bracketry out of the way.  Also pop out the factory assembly/alignment pins from the CV crossmember. Then place the crown Vic suspension under your frame and check wheel/fender alignment. Once you are happy with wheel placement, make sure it is centered and square, then mark the 5/8” holes in the frame rail. We recommend drilling to ¾” to have some wiggle room. At this point, clean off paint and rust where the new bracket will sit, and bolt in the suspension, tightening the bolts. With everything installed, weld on all the brackets. Stitch welding of the W bracket is all that’s necessary, no need to weld every seam. The vertical tab should be trimmed at the height of the frame rail and welded to the top of the rail.

 This bracket system is designed to reinforce the frame where the new suspension mounts, while reducing the cutting, welding, and grinding required vs. a box style mount.

 Fits 1961-1978 F-100's with frames 34” outside to outside. Some grinding and fitting may be required. Not compatible with lower control arms with 20mm shoulder on stud.
